Mobility Implementation Plan (miPLAN) - Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (CUMTD): Local project coordinator with the CUMTD to facilitate creation of a groundbreaking implementation plan for a truly multimodal community. This cutting edge planning process has included extensive public input, market data analysis, identification of policies, programs, and tools to implement a multimodal, affordable transportation system. The process has also included updates to the local transportation model including a land-use modeling program for future growth scenarios and impacts. The project incorporated the innovative public input tool Transopoly™ created by the Center for Neighborhood Technology that utilizes a game format to facilitate public input on desired transportation infrastructure. The project includes development of a Green Corridor Plan to create high density, high transit frequency, and connection between the downtowns of the two cities and the university. Many of the recommendations and strategies of miPLAN have already been implemented or are in the process of implementation . www.ihavemiplan.com
